If so, this may be the sales position for you! We are seeking a successful Decorating Consultant to join our Sales Team! As a Drapery Decorating Consultant, you will work with a variety of residential and commercial customers who are looking for window treatments for their homes and businesses. You will be responsible for conducting in-home/in-business/in-showroom consultations with customers, and promoting our brand named blinds and custom drapery. This position involves assisting customers in the design process and selection of custom window treatments, measuring windows, fulfilling customer requests for proposals, negotiating contracts and pricing with customers, interfacing with suppliers and fabric workrooms, order entry, interacting and communicating with our office administrator and installation professionals regarding job details, on-going communication with customers and prospective customers (including post-consultation follow-up, post-sales follow up, post-installation follow-up, and future order opportunities), and networking within the community and professional networking groups.
Position Requirements:
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must be highly organized, and adept at reporting status of projects to Sr. Leadership.
Sales Experience, five or more years of window covering sales experience.
Knowledge of fashion trends and textiles desired.
Reliable transportation, and willingness to travel (local travel). Must be able to keep over-sized sample books and fabrics, in vehicle.
Passion for interior design.
Ability to generate leads and network with current and prospective customers.
Computer skills required, Internet & Email mastery a must.
Flexible schedule necessary for Evening and Saturday appointments with customers.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, and climb a ladder into high spaces.
Ability to utilize and read a tape measure desired.
Compensation: This is a salary plus commission position. Starting salary will depend on experience.
