Responsibilities

• Complete the projects assigned in a manner consistent with the standards of Hickory Dickory Decks within a reasonable time frame.
• Have 10 – 15 years and consider non licensed individuals
• Representative of Hickory Dickory Decks to the customer and must keep the customer informed throughout the construction of their project..
• Responsible for informing the customer of any delays in their project due to any inability to be on a job site during construction.
• Keep close communication with the salesperson, construction manager or owner regarding progress and inform them of problems, concerns or changes to the project.
• Responsible for keeping the job site clean and tidy.
• Be professional, polite and courteous while at work.
• Always wear uniforms while working on a job site.
• Monitor material consumption and must be used with the minimum amount of waste.
• Plan with lead carpenter properly for the following day to eliminate starting a work day without the materials needed.
• Collect payments from the customer throughout each project.
• Be prepared to speak to interested persons who come by to look at the project on the job site.
• Ensure that a yard sign is placed in a visible location at the job site.
• Assist lead carpenter and must keep accurate records of hours worked, helper’s hours, materials used, materials returned and hand in this information along with other paperwork as soon as the job is completed.

Training: 3 weeks paid training in Hamilton

Other Requirements

• G License, clean driver’s abstract and criminal record check required
• Workboots
