Receptionist-Vaughan
Job Category: Full Time
Vaughan based company is looking for a full time receptionist, general reception duties providing office support with duties including reception and clerical work.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Meet and greet customers and visitors
- Perform general clerical duties which include, but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing
- Create and modify documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system
- Maintain credit application file
- Update customer service database as required
- Receive and distribute mail daily
- Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the follow up of outstanding accounts receivables
- Organize company functions
- Monitor and order office supplies and literature
- Responsible for office maintenance contracts (office cleaning, bathroom supplies & floor mats)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
- Strong customer service skills
- Entry level experience with accounting functions such as AP/AR, invoicing and purchase orders
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook and internet
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanour
- Range of mobility; 70% of the day requires sitting performing paperwork duties, answering telephones and computer work, 30% of the day requires walking and standing while filing, photocopying, faxing, preparing mail, in addition to walking to warehouse for parts
- Work involves frequent trips to warehouse and lifting of materials and products up to 20 lbs.
