Kathleen Roy
Kathleen Roy was job searching for over a year for a position as a customer service representative after obtaining her RIBO license. With over 15 years of work experience as an administrative assistant from several sectors of the labour market, Kathleen Roy was determined to return back to the insurance industry.
Kathleen received a job offer as an administrative assistant with an insurance company!
Kathleen attributes her success to the job search preparation including interview and networking tips and the on-going encouragement from yorkworks staff.

Jacques is a trained and certified chef with over 20 years work experience, having worked in several taverns and restaurants in York Region.
Unfortunately, Jacques was laid off and has been job searching since. Jacques dropped by the yorkworks centre in Sutton to do an independent job search but was encouraged to meet with a planning consultant as part of his job search efforts.

Archibald Dagg
Archibald Dagg, a resident of Stouffville approached yorkworks in August with hopes of finding employment in property services. With over 10 years of work experience in property services, Archie checked out the daily job postings on the job board.
Needing further assistance with his job search, Archie met with a Planning Consultant to work one-on-one on his resume and cover letter, set up an e-mail account, research jobs and apply for positions via fax.
Archie obtained an interview with Angus Glen. The interview was a success and Archie landed a job at the golf course.
A few days after, Archie contacted his Planning Consultant to share his good news that he had been contacted by the Town of Stouffville to set up an interview for a Snow Plow position he also applied for.
Congratulations Archie!
